Professional Standards
As a professional business, X Marketing Limited acts in your
interests and will ensure adherence to legislative requirements
governing any marketing activities conducted on your behalf.
In particular, X Marketing Limited will meet the following
professional standards:
a) Confidentiality;
b) Avoiding conflict of interest, which could prevent us
from acting other than in your best interests;
c) Pricing per project or charging fees on the basis of
time and disbursement costs incurred;
d) Providing competent professional advice;
Please note: While every effort is made to provide accurate
advice and guidance from the information available, X Marketing
Limited cannot be liable for results not meeting expectations due
to the nature of changing markets and business
environment.
Fees
We work on a no-surprises basis when it comes to fees.
Quotations or estimates for particular tasks - such as
photography, website design, printing - are provided as
required. For time-based jobs an hourly
rate applies. Time is recorded in 30-minute intervals and
a copy for each period can be provided upon request.
Services to develop strategy, creative and provide group
facilitation are also available and are charged at a slightly
higher hourly rate. Any work of this nature is first discussed
and approved.
A more economical hourly or daily rate is available for set
periods, such as two days work per week over six months. For
such an arrangement a reduced rate or agreed
equivalent daily rate can be set.
Please note too that billing time excludes local Auckland travel
and 'regular contact' calls and emails. That means we don't
charge for moving around and keeping in contact with you.
Throughout our work for you we will endeavour to keep you fully
informed on current and expected timeframes and expenditure
levels. In the current economic environment we are very aware
of the need to manage expenditure carefully and to maximum
effect.
On some occasions a deposit is required for work pending.
Otherwise fees are rendered on a monthly basis for time and costs
incurred within that month and are strictly payable by the 20th of
the month following the date of the invoice.
Recovery costs and interest are applicable on all outstanding
debts. In instances where projects have not been completed by
month end, a progress fee may be rendered. As a small business
prompt payment is appreciated and can be accepted by direct
credit.

Experience and Background
X Marketing Limited was established in 1999 and has successfully
provided marketing services for a wide range of innovative
companies and not-for-profit organisations.
They include some great companies involved in financial
planning, healthcare, logistics, investment, automotive,
non-profit, travel, accounting, produce and action sports.
Prior to 1999, Principal and Director Sam Blackler spent four
years with Shell New Zealand Limited holding a variety of sales and
marketing positions.
Sam Blackler has Bachelor degrees in Arts (Economics) and
Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Otago and has completed
the Certificate in eMarketing run by the New Zealand Marketing
Association.
